With a passion for displaying the stories of the unheard, Joaquin is a Dominican-American filmmaker from the New York diaspora. His previous works have been screened at various film festivals and placed highly at competitions such as the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, HollyShorts Film Festival, NewFilmmakers LA, Stage 32’s Diversity Initiative, and Outstanding Screenplays. At the ripe age of 18 he was selected as an emerging talent by MTV after winning the Film Your Way to the MTV Movie Awards Competition.

His most recent short film, EGGPLANT, is currently making festival rounds. Additionally, a proof-of-concept for his feature screenplay, STOP AHEAD, is currently in post-production.
