A teller of stories. A documenter of life. With a passion for displaying the stories of the unheard, Joaquin is a Dominican-American filmmaker from the New York diaspora. His previous works have been screened at various film festivals and his screenwriting awarded top prizes at competitions such as HollyShorts Film Festival and Outstanding Screenplays. At the ripe age of 18 he was selected as an emerging talent by MTV after winning the Film Your Way to the MTV Movie Awards Competition.

Most recently, Joaquin's script, EGGPLANT, won the Hawks Screenwriting Award at the HollyShorts Film Festival, and placed runner-up in the Outstanding Screenplays Short Film competition. The film is currently in post-production.
